Well most of your power comes from the heads, cam, carbs combo.
Balancing out your crakshaft would be worth doing while the case is split.
Also the easiest way is to bore is out.
92 mm p&b's will give you 1776 cc.
Which is more than enough. That way you still have some reliability.
